If you want to convert your Bridgeport (or similar) manual mill to CNC, I suggest doing a full 3axis conversion. It will be more expensive, but if you are going to do the swap, you might as well go all the way. Being able to program for Zaxis moves in addition to the X and Yaxis will allow for shorter machining times. Bridgeport CNC Conversion

A fellow named Joe sent me this photo of his DC drive retrofit. He used a 1 HP Pacific Scientific motor (new) and a Dart DC controller (new) from eBay for a grand total of 110. His mill is an Acra make, which is an imported Bridgeport copy, and which uses the steppulley drive.

I have a Bridgeport R2E3 that is currently running all Anilam 1100m equipment and I wish to have it converted out to Mach3. The mill runs servo motors and I can only guess that the inputs are analog.
